We consult, build, and supply vehicle telemetry.
DataPortal is a custom software house, a vehicle telemetry hardware supplier, and an integrator for vehicle and asset operations. We work with operators that have outgrown off-the-shelf SaaS, or that want a serious team behind their fleet stack.

Two affiliated private companies share the DataPortal brand and operational standards. Each is a separate legal person with its own assets, liabilities, and contractual obligations. The relevant entity for any specific engagement is identified in the signed contract.
South African private company. Operating entity for South African and African market engagements. Licensee of all DataPortal IP and trademarks under licence from DataPortal Ltd (Hong Kong). Registered office at our Centurion address.

How we work
International field deployment with local support training. Cloudflare-hosted for low latency and intrusion prevention. Self-developed stack, with deliberate use of Wialon underneath where it fits. Mainly South African and European developers and engineers, active across 19 markets.

Custom platforms — GPS tracking, on-vehicle and terrestrial cameras, fuel and bowser monitoring, cold-chain, app stores, custom dashboards.
Direct supply of telemetry equipment and hardware — GPS units, MDVRs, cameras, fuel sensors, BLE peripherals.
